A 28-year-old Ballajura man has been charged after a disturbance in Ballajura last night.
About 10.50pm, police were called to a home in Birdland Lane where a party was being held.
It will be alleged that the man, who is from a neighbouring home, was involved in a fight with the occupants of the home and their guests over noise from the party.
He made threats towards the occupants with a firearm before returning to his home.
Police searched his home where they found the firearm and a number of cannabis plants.
He has been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear, aggravated possession of a firearm, possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of unlicensed ammunition and possession of a prohibited drug.
He is scheduled to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on February 10.
